The Paper Project

2000 - 2001

The Paper Project began on July 16, 2000 at the Whitney Museum of American Art. The series consists of five sets of handmade paper all 7” x 7”, made from toilet paper taken from five of the most prominent art museums in the United States. Each set was created as a limited edition of eighteen. A complete set includes one piece of handmade paper from each of the following museums: The Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
