In/Conspicuous Cleaning

Dressed in a generic work uniform, I systematically cleaned a three foot by three foot section of two subway platforms located at the West 4th Street stop in Manhattan. Throughout the day many people asked what I was doing to which I replied "cleaning, doing my job." Although no one offered to help, several observers suggested various cleaning methods.
